Medmarc 2024 Annual Broker Meeting 

Medmarc hosted its brokers at the San Bernardo Inn in lovely San Diego. The agenda was a robust reflection of the past year, a celebration of Medmarc’s 45th anniversary (#Medmarc45) and a projection of where we are headed for 2025 and beyond. We appreciate the time our brokers and carrier partners took to join us, learn more about the industry and share their knowledge on critical topics such as AI in medicine and MedTech, Nuclear Verdicts, and International Clinical Trials.  

This year’s event highlights included our meeting with the Medmarc Broker Council, an update on the claims and litigation environment for life sciences companies, and our team-building and charity activities. The networking event was dedicated to Brian Kern, who joined Medmarc in 2001 and served as corporate counsel until his passing this past summer. Brian and his wife, La’Toria Kern, founded Whaler’s Creation, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the critical need for foster/adoptive parents and mentors for older youth transitioning out of foster care into independent living. In his memory, we packed and donated 50 hygiene bags and 50 school supply backpacks to Whaler’s Creation.
